Dr. Steven K. Dentel EWB Enrichment Fund

Help us celebrate our first decade of service learning by honoring Dr. Steve!

Dr. Steve was a UD environmental engineering professor with an unwavering passion for teaching, mentoring and, above all, inspiring students. He was committed to providing transformational real-world experiences using engineering as a tool for social good. Just over ten years ago, Dr. Steve and an intrepid group of students established Engineers Without Borders at UD (EWB-UD) and turned this service learning vision into reality.

In celebration of EWB-UD's 10-year anniversary and Dr. Steve's life, the Dentel-Post family announced the establishment of the Dr. Steven Dentel Engineers Without Borders Enrichment Fund. This fund honors Steve's legacy and provides the critical resources needed for students to learn, design and implement solutions to pressing infrastructure needs in partnership with some of the world's most vulnerable communities.

We aspire to grow the Dr. Steve EWB Enrichment Fund, securing a path for future generations to benefit from this hands-on experience while improving quality of life across the developing world.
